In 1866, Mary Baker Eddy was instantly cured of the effects of an accident while reading
one of Jesus' healings from the Bible. She realized that healing was the operation of God's law
in our human experience. This formed the basis for her discovering Christian Science and founding
the Church of Christ, Scientist.
